M-DCPS BUS FLEET TO HOLD DRY RUN, TOMORROW AUG. 14

WHY:

As the school district prepares to launch a new school year next Monday, the Transportation Department will be doing a dry run of its school bus fleet. Nearly 1,300 buses will be undertaking the massive operation of transporting 60,000 Miami-Dade school children daily via 1,100 routes in the county.

M-DCPS recently launched a new mobile application to provide parents, students, and employees with faster access to up-to-date school information. One of the app’s features is bus route information. Dadeschools Mobile, the official app for the school system is now available for free download for iPhone and Android devices.

VISUALS:
Some 200 buses will be available for viewing and riding. The mobile app will also be demonstrated during the event.
