SUPERINTENDENT CARVALHO TRAVELS TO NATIONAL CONVENTION FOR SUPERINTENDENT OF THE YEAR ANNOUNCEMENT Miami – Miami-Dade Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho travels to Nashville, TN as a finalist for national Superintendent of the Year. The announcement will be made Thursday, Feb 13 at 3:15 pm at the opening general session of the national conference of AASA, The School Superintendents Association, held at the Nashville Music City Convention Center, 201 Fifth Ave. South, Nashville. In December, Carvalho was named Florida’s Superintendent of the Year by the Florida Association of District School Superintendents (FADSS), representing the Sunshine State for consideration as national superintendent of the year. Carvalho is one of four superintendents selected as a finalist for the coveted honor.
