More than 7,000 people will be trained at 8 locations, Sept. 6

Carvalho, Pamela Rauseo, Jackson Health System CEO Carlos Migoya, University of Miami President Donna Shalala, representatives from the American Red Cross of Greater Miami & The Keys, the American Heart Association, Holtz Children’s Hospital, as well as CPR instructors, firefighters, students and interested citizens

WHY:

In response to Pamela Rauseo’s quick-thinking and superior CPR skills saving the life of her 5-month-old nephew Sebastian de la Cruz, Miami-Dade County Public Schools partnered with Jackson Health System, the University of Miami, the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross of Greater Miami & The Keys to present CPR Day Miami. The event offers free CPR training to the public ages 11 and older.
