MIAMI-DADE MAGNET SCHOOL EDUCATORS EARN TOP HONORS

Magnet Schools of America (MSA), a national organization representing over 4,000 magnet schools and programs, recently honored top magnet school teachers and principals regionally and nationally.

Mark Tohulka, a science teacher at Maritime & Science Technology Academy, recently was named the Region III Magnet Schools of America 2014 Teacher-of-the-Year. He is now a finalist for the national magnet teacher of the year.

Adrianne F. Leal, Principal, Coral Reef Senior High, was awarded the Region III Magnet Schools of America 2014 Principal-of-the-Year. As the Region III representative, she is now a finalist for the national magnet principal of the year.
Winners will be announced in May in Hartford, Conn.
