MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS PARTICIPATES IN CPR DAY MIAMI
Thousands Trained in CPR throughout Miami-Dade

In response to Pamela Rauseo’s quick-thinking and superior CPR skills saving the life of her five-month-old nephew Sebastian de la Cruz, Miami-Dade County Public Schools partnered with Jackson Health System, the University of Miami, the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross of Greater Miami & The Keys to present CPR Day Miami.  On September 6, nearly 5,000 South Floridians were trained for free in the use of the lifesaving technique at eight locations throughout Miami-Dade.

Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho joined Pamela Rauseo, Jackson Health System CEO Carlos Migoya, and University of Miami President Donna Shalala, in training to perform lifesaving CPR.
