Adult and Community Education has teamed up with the 5000 Role Models office for a special event to target and recruit approximately 800 students in the Role Models project who may not be attending college.

The event will be held Wednesday, April 16 at D.A. Dorsey Educational Center and Lindsey Hopkins Technical Education Center from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.  Half the students will be bused to each location and then rotate during a lunch break.

Dorsey Educational Center is located at 7100 N.W. 17th Ave., Miami, 33147 and Lindsey Hopkins is at 750 N.W. 20th St., Miami, 33127.

To give the students a chance to see which trades programs are available, representatives from various technical centers throughout Miami-Dade County and the Department of Education’s Apprenticeship Section will be showcasing program offerings at this event.
