STATEMENT FROM MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS REGARDING INCIDENT AT SOUTH DADE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL An 18-year-old male student from South Dade Senior High School was arrested Friday by Miami-Dade Schools Police Department after being accused of sexually assaulting a female non-student two hours following dismissal. Our thoughts are with the victim during this difficult time. Because of the nature of the incident, we are compelled to protect her privacy rights. Counselors will be present at the school Monday to provide support to students and employees alike. South Dade Senior High School will be ready for school on Monday morning. Miami-Dade Schools Police, along with the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, are continuing to investigate this isolated case. # # # 14-DGD/067/DGD
