STUDENTS GET HANDS-ON VETERINARY EXPERIENCE WITH GOATS
AT JOHN A. FERGUSON HIGH SCHOOL

Future Farmers of America (FFA) students from Miami-Dade and Broward Counties public schools and a dozen goats

Dairy Goat Informational Seminar sponsored by Miami-Dade County Youth Fair

Friday, October 24, 2014
8 a.m. – 3 p.m. (best time for media – 10 a.m.)

WHY:

While most students will be taking the day off from school on Friday, students involved in FFA chapters in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties will be participating in an extensive student-facilitated seminar to learn about the dairy goat industry while applying content learned through academics and hands-on experience. Currently, our students own a total of twelve goats, four of which are in the pregnancy stage.
