Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is hosting special events across the school district to kick-off school bond projects resulting from the overwhelming voter approval of the $1.2 billion General Obligation Bond. The bond will be used to modernize and construct school buildings throughout the district, expand student capacity, enhance facility safety, and provide technology upgrades at all schools. Upgrades and new buildings for school sites are well into the design process, in preparation for construction. New wireless infrastructure has been installed, paving the way for schools to move into the digital age.

The Hialeah Senior High School project, valued at $15 million, has been commissioned to Wolfberg Alvarez & Partners, Inc. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, campus-wide renovations; exterior painting; security alarm/surveillance system enhancements; flooring replacement; air conditioning and heating repair/replacement; electrical and lighting repair/replacement; exterior stucco wall repairs, and interior and exterior door and window repair/replacement.
