M-DCPS ANNOUNCES SPONSORSHIP OF THE AFTER-SCHOOL MEALS PROGRAM

Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) announced the implementation of the “Afterschool Meals Program,” a sub-component of the Child Care Program under the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The program is designed primarily to provide nutritious snacks and meals to children in after-school programs throughout the school district. Starting on Tuesday, October 1, 2015, Snack Plus is available at no additional charge to the children enrolled in the after-school care program at David Fairchild Elementary, 5757 S.W. 45th Street, Miami, Fla. 33155, and Paul Bell Middle School at 11850 N.W. 2nd Street, Miami, Florida 33172.
