INTERNATIONAL STUDIES PREPARATORY ACADEMY (ISPA) WINS THE “COLEGIO DEL AÑO” AWARD GRANTED BY THE EDUCATION OFFICE OF THE EMBASSY OF SPAIN

The International Studies Preparatory Academy (ISPA) was selected as the High School Winner of the “Colegio del Año” Award granted through the Embassy of Spain in the United States. This distinguished award was created to reward academic excellence among schools nationally that are currently implementing bilingual programs using both English and Spanish instruction. The competition for this award is organized and coordinated by the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain.

“As the founding principal of this great academy (ISPA), it gives me great pleasure and it is a great honor to receive on its behalf this award of international standing. Such outstanding recognition provides our academy the distinction and the honor it richly deserves as an educational institution and should further serve as an added incentive to our dedicated teachers and students to excel even further than they have done so far,” said Alejandro Pérez, Principal of ISPA who will be traveling to the nation’s capital to receive the award at a Spanish embassy ceremony.

The International Program at ISPA is the only program of its kind in Miami-Dade County Public Schools where students pursue world language studies in addition to an academic curriculum with an international focus that addresses rigorous standards governing the U.S. and the European Union educational systems.
