Dr. Naomi Tutu, daughter of Nobel Peace Prize winner Bishop Desmond Tutu and director of Fisk University's Race Relations Institute, will be the guest of honor at a United Nations Day 2000 celebration from 2 - 6 p.m. today at The Chapman House, 1200 N.W. 6th Ave. (entrance is at N.W. 14 St., east of 7th Ave).

The United Nations Day Celebration marks the 55th anniversary of the organization's creation.

The event is hosted by Miami-Dade County Public Schools' Cultural Diversity and Intergroup Relations Department, the Miami-Dade Community Relations Board and the Black Archives History and Research Foundation of South Florida.

The Chapman House is the school district's multicultural education headquarters, on the grounds of Booker T. Washington Senior High School.
