Miami-Dade County Public Schools will salute its top graduating
students at the 13th annual Superintendent's Academic Awards Ceremony
at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at the Actor's Playhouse at the
Miracle Theatre, 280 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables. A reception will
begin at 5:30 p.m.
The valedictorian and salutatorian from each high school will receive
an award. The valedictorian has achieved the highest and the
salutatorian the second highest grade point average among a school's
graduating seniors.
Velda Farms Dairies has underwritten the event, which will highlight
each student's accomplishments and future ambitions in a multimedia
presentation. Additionally, each student may invite the K-12 teacher
who made the most significant impact on his or her life.
