South Florida students and parents will meet with representatives from 166 colleges and universities at the National College Fair from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 26, at the Radisson Mart Plaza Hotel, 777 N.W. 72 Ave.

Students, parents, and other members of the public are invited to the fair, which is free. School experts working the counseling center will be on hand to provide information on admission requirements, testing, scholarships, financial aid, and early college planning. A computer center also will be available to students who want to search for scholarships, conduct interest surveys, or research colleges and careers.

The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and Miami-Dade County Public Schools are sponsoring the event. School Board Chair Perla Tabares Hantman is co-chair of the local committee of the National College Fair. Media and corporate partners are WLRN-TV Channel 17, WPLG-TV Channel 10, the Miami Seaquarium and the Radisson Mart Plaza Hotel. Since 1972, NACAC has served nearly four million students and parents through college fairs held in 25 cities across the nation.
