NATIONAL COLLEGE FAIR COMES TO
MIAMI THIS SUNDAY; FREE ADMISSION

South Florida students and parents will meet with representatives
from 166 colleges and universities at the National College Fair from
noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 26, at the Radisson Mart Plaza Hotel,
777 N.W. 72 Ave.
Students, parents, and other members of the public are invited to the
fair, which is free. School experts working the counseling center
will be on hand to provide information on admission requirements,
testing, scholarships, financial aid, and early college planning. A
computer center also will be available to students who want to search
for scholarships, conduct interest surveys, or research colleges and
careers.
The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and
Miami-Dade County Public Schools are sponsoring the event. School
Board Chair Perla Tabares Hantman is co-chair of the local committee
of the National College Fair. Media and corporate partners are
WLRN-TV Channel 17, WPLG-TV Channel 10, the Miami Seaquarium and the
Radisson Mart Plaza Hotel. Since 1972, NACAC has served nearly four
million students and parents through college fairs held in 25 cities
across the nation.
