Six Miami-Dade County Public Schools were recently honored with the Florida Department of Education's Five Star School Award. Receiving the award were Crestview Elementary, Ernest R Graham Elementary, Frances S. Tucker Elementary, North Twin Lakes Elementary, Rockway Elementary and Palmetto Middle.

The award recognizes schools that have brought together school volunteers, business partners, families, educational excellence school advisory councils, and youth service groups to create a strong commitment to community involvement.
