ROLE MODEL STUDENTS
FROM FIVE HIGH SCHOOLS
TO ATTEND HEALTH SYMPOSIUM

Students participating in the 500 Role Models of Excellence Project
in five high schools will attend a Teen Health Symposium from 10 a.m.
to 1 p.m. Friday, April 30.
To be held in the conference center of North Shore Hospital, 1100
N.W. 95 St., the symposium allows the students to discuss their
health concerns with physicians, nurses, counselors, and other health
care practitioners.
A presentation by law enforcement officers on "Police and Youth
Relations" will include a discussion on school-based crime and the
recent shootings in Littleton, Colorado.
Students from MacArthur North, Miami Beach, Miami Jackson, Miami
Norland, and South Miami high schools will take part in the
symposium, which is one of a series held monthly in local hospitals.
