SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS, COUNSELORS TO PROVIDE 'DAY OF GIVING'

Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) in conjunction with the
Dade Association of School Psychologists and the Dade Counselors
Association will provide a community service "Day of Giving" on
Saturday, Feb. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
One hundred school psychologists will volunteer their time to
evaluate students to determine eligibility for special programs.
School counselors will provide coordination of services and parent
support. The event is designed to increase awareness of the services
provided by the 195 psychologists serving M-DCPS.
The "Day of Giving" will take place at seven sites:Miami Lakes Elementary School, 14250 N.W. 67 Avenue, Hialeah
North Miami Senior High School, 800 N.E. 137 Street, North Miami
South Hialeah Elementary School, 265 E. 5 Street, Hialeah
Citrus Grove Elementary School, 2121 N.W. 5 Street, Miami
Southwest Miami Senior High School, 8855 S.W. 50 Terrace, Miami
Pine Villa Elementary School, 21799 S.W. 117 Court, Goulds
Florida Diagnostic Learning Resources Systems-South, 5555 S.W. 93 Avenue, Miami
Sponsors of the event include the Latin Builders Association and the
law offices of Holland and Knight.
