'BUDDY READERS' NEEDED TO HELP THIRD-GRADE STUDENTS
IMPROVE READING SKILLS

Reading mentors to help struggling students pass the Florida
Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) are needed for an
intensive summer reading camp, July 14-31 in 50 public
elementary schools throughout Miami-Dade County.
Volunteer "Buddy Readers" will receive training plus the
opportunity to volunteer where and as often as they would
like. Readers will be asked to work in 9 a.m.-noon shifts.
Mentors must attend one of the following training sessions
on July 10, 2-3:30 p.m:
Miami
Shores Elementary School, 10351 N.E. 5th Ave., Miami
Shores
Rockway
Elementary School, 2790 S.W. 93rd Ct.,
Miami
