CERVANTES OUTSTANDING EDUCATOR AWARD

School Board Member Perla Tabares Hantman, District 4, was honored with the Cervantes Outstanding Educator Award last night during a ceremony at the downtown Miami Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Hantman was honored for having made significant contributions to the promotion of excellence in the education of Hispanic students in Miami-Dade County, in the spirit of Hispanic Heritage Week. The award was presented by Nova Southeastern University and the Fischler Graduate School of Education and Human Services' Hispanic Advisory Board.
