SERVICE PUTS HOMEWORK HELP JUST A FEW DIGITS AWAY

Old-timers who think they had it tougher when they were kids are right. Thanks to Dial-A-Teacher, a service of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, today's students find homework help right at their fingertips.

Be it via the Internet at www.dial-a-teacher.com or on the phone at 305-995-1600 between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, students can find a certified teacher waiting to answer their homework questions.

For the past 17 years, Dial-A-Teacher has been a free service of Miami-Dade County Public Schools in cooperation with the United Teachers of Dade. It offers help in most subjects, provided by certified public school teachers.

Help is available in English, Spanish and Haitian-Creole.
