SECOND STRATEGIC PLANNING TO BE HELD TOMORROW

The second in a series of strategic planning meetings presented by Miami-Dade County Public Schools will be held on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 7 - 9 p.m., at Miami Killian Senior High School, 10655 S.W. 97 Ave.

Thirteen strategic planning meetings are being held during September and October to give citizens the opportunity for input on the direction of the school district. Information gathered at the meetings will be used to assess the district's goals and objectives to ensure they foster ongoing improvement in all areas &endash; schools, support services, and business offices.

"The people of Miami-Dade County are vital to the review process," Schools Superintendent Merrett R. Stierheim said. "We encourage the active participation of the community in this worthwhile endeavor."

A flier detailing the times and locations of the meetings is attached. Citizens who cannot attend may provide input by responding to questions online at http://opi.dadeschools.net/community.htm.
