STRATEGIC PLANNING MEETINGS CONTINUE

A series of strategic planning meetings presented by
Miami-Dade County Public Schools continues this week, with
three more meetings to be held at area high schools.
Tonight's
meeting will be held at Felix Varela Senior High School,
15255 S.W. 96 St.
Tuesday
night's meeting will be held at Southwest Miami Senior
High School, 8855 S.W. 50 Terr.
Wednesday's
meeting will be held at Miami Southridge Senior High
School, 19355 S.W. 114 Ave.
Each meeting
runs from 7 - 9 p.m.
A total of
13 strategic planning meetings are being held during
September and October to give citizens the opportunity for
input on the direction of the school district. Information
gathered at the meetings will be used to assess the
district's goals and objectives to ensure they foster
ongoing improvement in all areas &endash; schools, support
services, and business offices.
"This is an excellent opportunity for citizens to
participate in the decision-making process of the school
district," Schools Superintendent Merrett R. Stierheim said.
"We look forward to seeing parents and others join us in
this mission."
