An aviation fair for 8th through 12th grade students will be held
Saturday, Mar. 10, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at George T. Baker Aviation
School, 3275 N.W. 42nd Ave., Miami.
The fair is open to students interested in attending the school next
fall. The event will offer students and their parents information on
the school's entrance requirements and career opportunities available
in aviation.
Teachers, students, and industry personnel will conduct workshops,
demonstrations and tours. Discussion topics will include the rich
history of the airplanes at Baker Aviation and the school's unique
role in Miami's aviation community.
A Miami-Dade County public school, Baker Aviation is South Florida's
only vocational school devoted solely to aviation-maintenance
education. It boasts a long-established reputation for excellence, a
90 percent job-placement rate and affordable tuition.
