EDUCATIONAL EQUITY ADVOCATES TO MEET IN MIAMI FEB. 7-9

More than 400 educational-equity and school-reform advocates from
around the country will gather in Miami from Feb. 7-9 for the 21st
annual National Association for Educational Equity Conference at the
Wyndham Miami-Biscayne Bay Hotel, 1601 Biscayne Blvd.
Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) and the Southeast Center
for Desegregation will host the event, to feature tours of successful
M-DCPS programs, a keynote speech by Magnet Schools of America
Executive Director Judith S. Stein, and discussions on such issues as
desegregation, gender equity and accommodating students with special
needs.
