A new campaign produced by the Florida Department of Education (DOE) was launched this week to encourage students to do their best in the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) and to dispel misinformation about the test.

The campaign, titled "Show What You Know," will be supported by public service announcements, a briefing book, and a myth vs. fact sheet. All resources are available on the DOE's website, www.firn.edu/doe, at the "Facts about FCAT" hotlink.

Commissioner of Education Charlie Crist recently asked for the participation of local television stations in the campaign. "If you share my passion for better schools, then I'm sure you will assist us in this effort," he said.
