MIAMI PALMETTO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL TO HOST
FIRST MEETING OF NEW FLORIDA BOARD OF EDUCATION

The first official meeting of the governor-appointed Florida Board of Education will be held 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Monday, July 23 and Tuesday, July 24 at Miami Palmetto Senior High School, 7460 S.W. 118 St., Miami.

Miami-Dade Schools Superintendent Roger C. Cuevas will host the two-day meeting, which will include greetings from Florida Education Commissioner Charlie Crist and Miami-Dade School Board Chair Perla Tabares Hantman.
On the board's agenda are discussions of its statutory responsibilities and legal guidelines.
