FREEDOM SHRINE DEDICATION AT SOUTHWEST MIAMI SENIOR, OCT.

A Freedom Shrine ceremony will be held on Monday, Oct. 1,
8:30 a.m. at Southwest Miami Senior High School, 8855 S.W.
50th Terr. This ceremony will formally dedicate the Freedom
Shrine that was presented to the school by the Exchange Club
of Miami-Dade, a community service organization.
The Freedom Shrine is an impressive, permanently mounted
collection of 28 of the most important and historic American
documents, including the Declaration of Independence, the
Constitution of the United States, and the Gettysburg
Address. The objective of the Exchange Club is to install a
Freedom Shrine in all secondary schools in the nation.
Among the school board members expected to join other
elected officials at the event are Mr. Frank J. Cobo and Dr.
Marta Pérez.
