SCHOOL BOARD CHAIR PERLA TABARES HANTMAN TO HONOR
SCHOOLS, NOV. 19
November 16, 2001
Miami-Dade School Board Chair Perla Tabares Hantman will
present 15 outstanding Miami-Dade County public schools with
performance excellence awards at a ceremony at 3:30 p.m. on
Monday, Nov. 19, in the School Board Administration Building
auditorium, 1450 N.E. Second Ave.
The schools to be honored fall into three categories:
Platinum award - schools achieving a performance grade of
"A";
Gold
award - schools maintaining a performance grade of "B" or
improving by one performance grade;
Silver award - schools scoring exceptional gains in two of
three main areas of testing.
Hantman will honor the following schools from District 4,
which she represents:
