HIGHLAND OAKS ELEMENTARY CHORUS AND BELL ENSEMBLE WIN NATIONAL COMPETITION December 13, 2001 The Virginia A. Boone Highland Oaks Elementary School chorus and bell ensemble won the Choral Grand Champion trophy at the Music USA Festival on December 7th at Universal Studios in Orlando. The group received the highest score of all choral groups from elementary to high school. The musicians, composed of third to fifth grade students, also received first place in the elementary school category. Three soloists, Molli Jackson, Sabrina Abitan and Ethan Addicott, received trophies for their outstanding solo performances.
