MIAMI-DADE PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN NATIONAL FORUM ON HOMELESSNESS April 20, 2001 Miami-Dade County Public Schools students will participate in "Forget Me Not 2001: Kids' Day on Capitol Hill," a national forum on homelessness, from 1 - 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 23. The event is designed to bring together school-age children (homeless and non-homeless) and members of Congress to discuss the problem of family homelessness and ways in which schools, students, communities and Congress can address it. WLRN will broadcast the event live on school site television Channel 30. Participants will have the opportunity to call in questions to a toll-free telephone number.
