M-DCPS TO CO-SPONSOR NATIONAL MISSING CHILDREN'S DAY ON MAY 25 April 27, 2001 Miami-Dade County Public Schools along with other South Florida counties and municipalities will sponsor the "National Missing Children's Day" ceremony at 9:30 a.m on Friday, May 25 at Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd. The day focuses on educating, informing and sensitizing the community to the reality of the high proportion of runaway and missing children. The goal is to reduce the statistics that show up to 87 children reported missing per hour. The event will feature informational booths, service vendors and free digital fingerprinting and photographing for all minors.
