MOCK JOB INTERVIEWS HIGHLIGHT STUDENT CAREER FAIR, DEC. 15

Public school students will have a chance to impress hypothetical employers in mock job interviews at Miami-Dade County Public Schools' 2001-02 Career Fair, Saturday, Dec. 15, from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., at the Miami-Dade County Fairgrounds' Arnold Hall, Coral Way and S.W. 112th Ave.

Students and their families also can explore options in high school courses and programs to help prepare for higher education and future employment.

The fair will offer beneficial information for students at all grade levels with exhibits by local businesses and the school system's magnet programs and career academies. Highlights include a computer career center, a counseling center and information sessions. Student performances and on-site child-care services also will be provided.

The school district, the Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition, and One Community, One Goal®, an agency to create jobs in specific high-growth industries, are the fair's hosts. More than 7,000 are expected to attend. Admission is free. For more information call 305-995-7338.
