M-DCPS BILINGUAL EDUCATION TO HOLD MULTILINGUAL SUMMIT ON APRIL 20 April 17, 2001 The Miami-Dade County school system's Division of Bilingual Education and World Languages will host the "Multilingual Summit &endash; Preparing for Economic Development" on Friday, April 20, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Radisson Mart Plaza Center, 777 N.W. 72nd Ave., Miami. The conference includes a luncheon, vendor exhibits, breakout sessions, and a keynote address by Dr. Samuel Betances, a motivational speaker and senior consultant at Souder, Betances and Associates, Inc. The summit will provide a forum for educators, parents and business people to share and exchange ideas to help Miami-Dade County build a multilingual work force for the new millennium.
