More than 600 of Miami-Dade County Public Schools' music students
will have the opportunity to discuss the music business with industry
professionals at a day-long workshop at the University of Miami
School of Music, Feb. 8.
Leaders in the music industry, including Desmond Child, Tom Dowd,
Roger Nichols, Richie Supa and Nestor Torres, are scheduled to
participate in the program, titled 'GRAMMY in the Schools Careers in
Music.' Panel discussions will be followed by a variety of workshops
addressing various fields in the music industry.
