SUPERINTENDENT CUEVAS TO ADDRESS TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS June 26, 2001 Superintendent of Schools Roger C. Cuevas will speak to technology students on Friday, June 29 at 2:30 p.m. at New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Miami, 7757 W. Flagler Street, Suite 200. Sixteen Miami-Dade County Public Schools students each received scholarships valued at $3,995 to pursue a two-week course of study that will prepare them for the A+ Certification exam for computer service technicians. "We are excited to have formed a private-public partnership with New Horizons to encourage students from disadvantaged areas to pursue careers in the technology area," said Cuevas.
