U.S. EDUCATION SECRETARY PAIGE TO VISIT MAST ACADEMY

U.S. Secretary of Education Rod Paige will visit Miami-Dade
County's Maritime and Science Technology (MAST) Academy,
home to America's only Coast Guard Junior Reserve Officer
Training Corps, Tuesday, Nov. 13, in honor of National
Veterans Awareness Week.
Secretary Paige and a distinguished veteran will address
students about the meaning of sacrifice and citizenship as
part of President Bush's "Lessons of Liberty" initiative,
launched Oct. 30 by the U.S. Department of Education and the
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
The event starts 10:30 a.m.. The press must be set by 10:15
a.m. MAST, one of Miami-Dade County's acclaimed public
schools of choice, is at 3979 Rickenbacker
Causeway.
