TENTH GRADE PARTICIPATION IN PSAT UP CONSIDERABLY

The number of 10th-grade Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) students taking the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) increased considerably during 2000, as a result of a partnership between the state of Florida and the College Board to provide the opportunity for more students to participate in the test. The PSAT is used for practice for the SAT and also helps students win scholarships and academic recognition.
