MOTORSPORT-THEMED PROGRAM TO BE UNVEILED AT PRESS
CONFERENCE AUGUST 15th

Miami-Dade County Public Schools and the Homestead-Miami
Speedway will hold a press conference at 1 p.m. on
Wednesday, Aug. 15 to unveil "Rev It Up, Race Across
America," a national curriculum initiative being piloted in
Miami and two other auto racing cities: Talladega, Alabama
and Brooklyn, Michigan. The press conference will be at the
Speedway's Infield Media Meeting Room, 1 Speedway Blvd.,
Homestead.
The motorsport-themed curriculum is designed to motivate
students by featuring science, mathematics, technology and
history as they relate to auto racing. The program will be
piloted at six schools: Peskoe Elementary, Leisure City
Elementary, Campbell Drive Middle, Homestead Middle,
Homestead Senior High and Robert Morgan Vocational Technical
Instititute.
