Miami-Dade County Public Schools' first School-to-Career
Conference will be held on Thursday, April 19 at the
Radisson Mart Convention Centre, 711 N.W. 72 Ave.,
Miami.
The inaugural conference, whose theme is the "Three R's of
Successful School Reform - Restructuring, Reculturing, and
Rethinking Professional Development," includes a luncheon, a
keynote speaker, vendor exhibits and sessions highlighting
the tools needed to achieve the district's school-to-career
goal.
The conference also will focus on the district's vision of
restructuring schools into small learning communities that
work cooperatively to increase student achievement and
develop work skills.
