To commemorate Career and Technical Education Week, Feb. 11-17, Miami-Dade County Public Schools' 27 adult/technical education centers will hold open houses so the public can get a firsthand look at how the school system meets the community's job-training needs.

This year's theme is “Want Career Success? Get Career Skills.”

On any given day, more than 100,000 adults take courses at these centers, which offer more than 100 educational programs, from auto mechanics to veterinary assistance.
