A ceremony dedicating a new media center, a music room, an art suite and a physical education shelter at Tropical Elementary School, 4545 S.W. 104th Ave., will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9.

School officials and business and community leaders will participate in the ceremony. The construction project is part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools' long-term building and renovation program.
