Tropical Elementary School's technology program has been named the
"2001 International Technology Education Elementary School Program of
the Year" by the Executive Board of the Florida Technology Education
Association. Ms. Annette Hughes, technology education teacher at the
school and creator of the program, was recognized for her commitment
to students and the commendable efforts she has made in creating a
new and unique program.
Hughes will be recognized nationally and presented with an engraved
plaque at the International Technology Education Association's 63rd
Annual Conference in Atlanta, in March.
