ANGER MANAGEMENT CURRICULUM DISTRIBUTED TO ALL SCHOOLS

February 6, 2002

A curriculum for anger management has been distributed to all Miami-Dade County public schools. It is projected that every M-DCPS student will have received anger management instruction within three years.

The curriculum was developed by the Department of Cultural Diversity/Intergroup Relations following a directive from the School Board to develop "A Culture of Peace and Nonviolence Programs." It will be implemented in kindergarten, second, fourth, sixth and ninth grades.

For more information, contact Ms. Norma Sanchez-Zick, Cultural Diversity/Intergroup Relations, at 305-995-1174.
