WANT TO GO TO COLLEGE?
NATIONAL COLLEGE FAIR COMES TO MIAMI, SUNDAY, MAR. 10

February 11, 2002

Thousands of South Florida students and parents will meet with representatives from more than 150 colleges and universities at the 2002 National College Fair in Miami from noon-4p.m., Sunday, Mar. 10, at the Radisson Mart Plaza Hotel, 777 N.W. 72 Ave.

Students, parents and other members of the public are invited to the free fair. The college fair allows students and others to meet with college representatives and get their questions answered. Additionally, information sessions on financial aid, college planning and admission and testing requirements will be offered. Counseling and computer centers will allow students to access information about preparation for college, admissions, college scholarships and career interest surveys.

The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and Miami-Dade County Public Schools are sponsors of the event. School Board Chair Perla Tabares Hantman is co-chair of the local committee of the National College Fair. Every year NACAC sponsors fairs in nearly 40 cities across the country that attract more than 400,000 students and parents.
