CORVETTE CARAVAN TO BRING GIFTS TO MENTALLY HANDICAPPED STUDENTS

A Corvette caravan will deliver holiday gifts to 117 profoundly mentally handicapped students at Neva King Cooper Exceptional Education Center, 151 N.W. 5 St. in Homestead, Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Led by a police escort and a red-on-red 1971 Corvette convertible, the parade of 10-15 vintage cars will leave The Vette Smith, 10750 S.W. 188 St., at 8:15 a.m. and arrive at the school by 9 a.m.

A gift giveaway featuring Santa, a six-foot elf and a classful of tiny elves, gifted students from Kendale Lakes Elementary School, will start at 9:30 a.m.

The ninth annual event is sponsored by the Sunshine Corvette Club.
