YOUTH CRIME WATCH ANNUAL CONFERENCE, MARCH 19-20

More than 900 Miami-Dade County Public Schools' students will attend the two-day conference of the sixth annual Youth Crime Watch of Miami-Dade County starting at 8 a.m., Monday, March 19 at the Wyndham Miami Airport Hotel, 3900 N.W. 21 St.

Elementary school students will attend on Tuesday, March 19, and middle and senior high school students will attend on Wednesday, March 20.

Guests includes elected officials, police chiefs and other civic leaders who will recognize the many students who work hard to eliminate crime on Miami-Dade County Public School's campuses and their neighborhoods. Seminars on crime prevention topics and other safety related issues also will be presented. Students will have the opportunity to meet role models and exchange ideas with other students on how to deter and eliminate juvenile crime.

Based in public schools, YCW is a not-for-profit program that educates students in crime prevention.
