M-DCPS RECEIVES $12 MILLION GRANT FROM STATE

The Florida Department of Education has awarded a $12
million grant to the Miami-Dade County school district for
school renovations and IDEA technology as set forth in the
Individuals with Disabilities and Education Act. This law
guarantees that all children with disabilities have access
to a free and appropriate public education.
The grant will benefit 58 schools and fund fire code
repairs, roofing, window replacement, electrical upgrades,
and IDEA/technology including computer hardware, software
and training.
