HIALEAH SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL TO OPEN NEW BUILDING OCTOBER 10

Hialeah Senior High School will officially open a new building addition on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. The school is located at 251 E. 47 St., Hialeah.

The new addition includes 1,572 student stations, a new media center, art rooms, music and dance studios, a mini-theater and science labs. Two hundred covered parking spaces will be available to staff. The $18.5 million contract for the project includes improvements to existing physical education courts and athletic fields. Hialeah Senior High is one of the fastest growing senior high schools in the district.

"New construction such as this enables us to offer students expanded opportunities for learning and will positively impact the community for years to come," said School Board Chair Perla Tabares Hantman, who represents District 4.
