The Books of
the Month and JUST READ are part of the School Board's
Comprehensive Reading Plan implemented in 1998 to ensure all
students read at grade level by grade 3. Improved student
test scores in reading comprehension prompted the Board to
expand the plan in 2001 for another three years.
June's Books of the Month, as well as reading tips for
students and parents, can be accessed online at the
district's reading website
[www.dade.k12.fl.us/inst/lms/index.htm]. Monthly
reading selections are available at school libraries.
