KEY BISCAYNE COMMUNITY SCHOOL TO CELEBRATE
RED RIBBON WEEK WITH PARADE, HELICOPTER TOURS

Students at Key Biscayne Community School will celebrate healthy and drug-free lifestyles with a Red Ribbon Week (Oct. 23-31) kick-off parade at 8:45 a.m., Wednesday Oct. 23 on the school's athletic field, 150 McIntyre St., Key Biscayne. This year's National Red Ribbon Week theme is "Freedom is Drug-free, Plant the Promise."

On Tuesday Oct. 29, 8:30 a.m.-noon, students will have opportunities to tour a U.S. Customs Service Black Hawk helicopter, an aircraft used to enforce drug smuggling laws.

National Red Ribbon Week is an annual event and major force in raising public awareness and mobilizing communities to combat alcohol, tobacco and drug use among children.
